The sector is about to reach a record 350,000 tons of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries in the near future, reinforcing its position as a key economic contributor.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Involving more than 500 farmers and more than 100,000 employees, berry production covers around 13,500 hectares. Blueberries cover 4,080 hectares, raspberries 4,600 hectares and strawberries 3,080 hectares, with 75% of those located in the north of the country.
