Introduction<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-690693d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"690693d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>This Blog presents the new solution developed and registered by Biocontrol Technologies; Rootdei\u00ae Biocontrol Biofungicide, as an effective solution for the control of <em>Rhizoctonia solani<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p><p><em>R. solani <\/em>is the main soilborne fungal pathogen affecting potato crops, causing the symptoms known as Black Scurf and Stem and Stolons Canker*. Certain agricultural practices and plant protection products used synergistically can reduce the severity of the disease. Rootdei Biocontrol\u00ae for the Control of <i>Rhizoctonia solani<\/i>.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1254832 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1254832\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Within the control strategies for the pathogen <em>R. solani<\/em>, the biofungicide <strong>RootDei Biocontrol\u00ae<\/strong> stands out as a highly effective biological solution. Formulated with <g id=\"gid_2\">Trichoderma asperellum<\/g> strain T34, a highly active beneficial fungus with great disease control potential, RootDei\u00ae Biocontrol also offers an increase in the quality and number of harvested potatoes. The high concentration of its formulation and its biological activity allows working with low doses (250g\/ha) and with a single application at the beginning of the crop.  <\/p><p>RootDei\u00ae Biocontrol is a product registered in Europe, Regulation (EC) 1107\/2009 for use as a biological crop protection product for the control of <strong>\n  <em>Rhizoctonia solani<\/em>\n<\/strong>. This means that it has demonstrated its efficacy and safety (toxicological and ecotoxicological studies) in addition to being a residue-free product. Its authorization against this pathogen is based on official trials conducted under <strong>Good Experimental Practices (GEP)<\/strong>, studies executed by authorized companies with a set of guidelines and standards that guarantee that they are carried out in a rigorous and reproducible manner, complying with high quality and reliability criteria.  <\/p><p>In addition, RootDei Biocontrol\u00ae has been selected as an <strong>innovative product at the Interpom 2024 fair dedicated to the potato production sector<\/strong> held in Belgium during the month of November, being selected as part of the Innovation Tour* that will take place.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-850ce16 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>One of the strengths of RootDei Biocontrol\u00ae is its multiple mechanisms of action to control the disease, which allow an effective control of <em>Rhizoctonia solani<\/em> and a reduction of its sclerotia (forms of persistence in the soil).<\/p><p>In addition, the fact of having multiple mechanisms of action means that it is very unlikely for the pathogen to develop genetic resistance to the active ingredient of RootDei Biocontrol\u00ae, the fungus <em>Trichoderma asperellum<\/em> strain T34, which has been considered by the FRAC (Fungicide Resistance Action Committee) as a fungicide with multiple modes of action that does not generate resistance (category <strong>BM02<\/strong> of the <strong>FRAC Code List<\/strong>).<\/p><p>The different mechanisms of action are differentiated between direct mechanisms on the pathogen and beneficial effects on the
