The two most relevant species, <strong><em>Globodera pallida<\/em><\/strong> y <strong><em>Globodera rostochiensis<\/em><\/strong>originated in the <strong>Andes of South America<\/strong>, but today Paradoxically, this measure to combat one potato disease facilitated the spread of another devastating pest.
