EAPR Meeting & Potato Europe 

Dr Maribel Trillas, founding partner of Biocontrol Technologies, to take part in EAPR Pathology and Pest Section Meeting 2023 in France

Professoremerita and founding partner of Biocontrol Technologies Dr María Isabel Trillas Gay ispreparing to take part in the upcoming EAPR Pathology and Pest SectionMeeting, anextremely significant event in the field of potato pathology and pest controlresearch.

The eventwill be held on 3, 4, 5 and 6 September in Arras, France, providing the perfectstage for experts from all over the world to collaborate and share theirexpertise.

The EAPR Pathology and Pest SectionMeeting is an eventfocusing on a key crop, potatoes, bringing together leading experts in thefield of potato pathogens and pest control. During the fair, participants willpresent innovative research, scientific advances and practical strategies fordealing with issues related to pathogens and pests that affect crops.

Dr Maribel Trillas will attend as professor emerita of theUniversity of Barcelona, where she is well known for her experience in thefield of plant pathology and biological control. There she will present the newline of biological plant protection products for potato crops, with PPPregistry number 1238/2012 under European Regulation (EC) 1107/2009. Theproducts are trademarked and will imminently gain authorisation in CentralEurope, hitting the market very soon.

In her talk(number 030, session 7, on 6 September), Dr Trillas will speak on thisproduct’s benefits for controlling Rhizoctonia spp., an important plantpathogen affecting this crop. Full programme available here.
