Biocontrol Technologies bolsters its presence in Italy with the new expansion of uses for the T34 Biocontrol product.
In June, Biocontrol Technologies announced the extension of T34 Biocontrol® usage, which has been available in Italy since 2018, to encompass a variety of crops categorised as minor uses. This strategic expansion addresses the increasing demand for effective solutions against various diseases in economically significant crops within the country.
The product is distributed through two local partners, Cifo and Biolchim, ensuring comprehensive coverage in the market.
With this extension, T34 Biocontrol® is authorised to combat a wide range of diseases across diverse crops. Against Phytophthora spp., it can be applied in both protected environments and open fields for small fruits such as blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, currants, gooseberries, elderberries, wild strawberries, sorb apples and mulberries.
For managing Pythium in protected environments, T34 Biocontrol® is available for bulbous vegetables (garlic, shallot, leek), beetroot, leafy vegetables (chicory, radicchio, endive, escarole, rocket, spinach, chard, etc.), umbellifers (fennel, celery, parsley, coriander), ornamentals and fresh herbs.
Moreover, against Sclerotinia spp. in open fields, the product will be effective for beetroot, quinoa, leafy and flowering brassicas, umbellifers (fennel, celery, parsley, coriander), ornamentals and fresh herbs.
Italy’s diverse and high-quality agricultural sector will greatly benefit from this expansion of T34 Biocontrol® usage. Italian farmers now have an additional tool to protect their crops, increase yields and ensure the sustainability of their farming practices.
Biocontrol Technologies continues to demonstrate its dedication to innovation and support for the agricultural sector by offering effective and sustainable solutions that address farmers’ needs and contribute to the country’s economic development.
