Biocontrol Technologies emerged from the urgent need to develop biological solutions for agriculture to replace conventional chemical products.

Over these years in the industry, we have formed a multidisciplinary team of professionals whose dedication and focus are aligned with sustainability Today, we continue on the path to becoming a benchmark in the agricultural sector, promoting a balance between production and respect for the environment.

COMPANY HISTORY

2002

Patent. Trichoderma asperellum strain T34.

2004

Stablishment of Biocontrol Technologies S.L.

2005

Awarded Best Business Plan by Barcelona Activa.

2006

I+D UNIFONDO invests in the company.

2007

Starts commercialization of T34 Biocontrol®

Finalist in the ENISA awards.

2008

Collaboration agreement with IFAPA -Andalusia.

2009

Grants from the Ministry of Science and Innovation.

- Senén Vilaró Award.

2010

Request for inclusion of T34 Biocontrol® as a plant protection product in the EU.

2011

T34 Biocontrol® is accepted as a phytosanitary product in the United States(No. 87301-1).

2012

Provisional authorization of T34 Biocontrol® in the UK(No. MAPP 17290).

Authorization of T34 Biocontrol® in Canada(No. 30229).

2013

Authorization of the active substance in the EU(Regulation No. 1238/2012).

Distribution agreement in Spain and Portugal.

2014

Authorization of T34 Biocontrol® in Egypt
(No. 1718).

Shoura Chemicals new distributor in Egypt.

Sales permit in 6 European countries.

Towards the Future:

This chair arises as a result of the research work carried out at the Faculty of Biology of the University of Barcelona.

The team, led by the Chair’s director Dr. María Isabel Trillas, is made up of researchers working in sectors related to Agriculture. This recognition underscores our dedication to driving progress and research in this domain, and promoting the dissemination of knowledge within the sphere of Sustainable Agriculture.
