Farma-Chem SA, the distributor of T34 Biocontrol® in Greece, brought together agronomists from across Crete to present its portfolio of crop protection and nutrition solutions, and Biocontrol Technologies took part as the guest company. Lydia Bakagianni, from the sales team, gave a presentation on T34 Biocontrol®. Jordi Fumadó, the company’s Sales Director, also attended the event.

In Greece, agronomists play a central role in the crop protection chain. They act as technical advisors to growers, recommending which product to use in each situation. That is why explaining a biological solution to this group is key to ensuring it is properly integrated into crop management programs.

In her presentation, Lydia Bakagianni introduced T34 Biocontrol®, a biofungicide developed from Trichoderma asperellum strain T34. She explained its mode of action, its authorized uses in Greece, and how to incorporate it into integrated management strategies for soilborne diseases.

The event comes just a few months after the expansion of authorized uses for T34 Biocontrol® in Greece, approved in June 2026 by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food. The decision adds strawberries and a wide range of field-grown small fruits for the control of Phytophthora cactorum, Phytophthora cinnamomi, and Pythium spp.

Farma-Chem is a Greek company headquartered in Sindos (Thessaloniki), specializing in the marketing and distribution of plant protection products, specialty nutrition, and biocides, with a 70-year track record.

We would like to thank Farma-Chem for the invitation and for the opportunity to share technical knowledge about T34 Biocontrol® with agronomists in Crete.
