The second edition of the Biocontrol Technologies Best Final Degree Project Competition is underway
Promoting Young Talent for Sustainable Agriculture
The UB Chair of Microorganisms for Agriculture – Biocontrol Technologies is launching a new edition of the competition for the best Final Degree Project to recognize young talent, applied research and the ability to generate useful knowledge for a more sustainable agriculture.
Following the success of the first edition, the competition is consolidating itself as a tool to strengthen the connection between university, research and the professional sector, highlighting those works with a scientific basis, practical vocation and the ability to generate a real impact in the agronomic field.
A bridge between university and the agricultural sector
The UB Chair of Microorganisms for Agriculture was established to serve as a bridge between academic knowledge and its practical application in the field. Within this framework, the competition for the best final degree project (TFG) is part of a broader strategy based on research, scientific dissemination, training, and the promotion of young talent.
The competition seeks to recognize academic work that stands out for its rigor, innovation and applicability in key areas such as plant health, the use of microorganisms and the sustainability of agricultural systems.
Aimed at students of scientific and technical disciplines
The competition is aimed at university students who have developed their Final Degree Project in disciplines such as biology, biotechnology, microbiology, agricultural engineering or other areas related to microorganisms and sustainable agricultural production.
The call for entries maintains the spirit of the previous edition, focused on rewarding academic excellence and promoting innovative research in areas such as bio-inputs, biocontrol, biological fertilization, soil health and new technologies applied to agriculture.
