New Distribution Agreement in Türkiye: T34 Biocontrol® enters the Turkish market with Nektar Tarım
Biocontrol Technologies has reached a new distribution agreement with Nektar Tarım Ticaret Pazarlama Ltd. Şti., a company belonging to the Merkez Anadolu Kimya Group, to support the introduction of T34 Biocontrol® into the Turkish agricultural market. This agreement represents a significant step in the international expansion of the biofungicide and reinforces Biocontrol Technologies’ commitment to advancing sustainable biocontrol on a global scale.
Nektar Tarım brings deep knowledge of the local agricultural sector to this partnership and a well-established distribution network in Türkiye, key factors in ensuring a solid technical implementation of the product. In addition, Nektar Tarım will act as the importer and registration holder of the product in Türkiye.
Nektar Tarım is a Turkish company specialized in the distribution of agricultural inputs, with a strong presence in the country’s main producing regions and a clear commitment to innovative solutions for more efficient and sustainable agriculture.
T34 Biocontrol® is currently under registration in the country and is therefore not yet commercially available. Its market launch will be officially announced once the registration process is completed. Biocontrol Technologies, in turn, contributes its scientific expertise and technical support in biological crop protection, offering Turkish growers an effective and safe solution for integrated soil-borne disease management.
T34 Biocontrol® is a biofungicide based on Trichoderma asperellum strain T-34, a microorganism with a proven ability to colonize the rhizosphere, act antagonistically against soil-borne fungal pathogens, and stimulate crop root systems. Currently present in more than 20 countries, the product integrates naturally into integrated pest and disease management programs, helping to reduce dependence on conventional treatments and supporting the transition toward more sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture.
This new agreement expands Biocontrol Technologies’ presence in the Mediterranean basin and strengthens its expansion strategy in high-value intensive agriculture markets, such as the greenhouses of Antalya, a global benchmark in horticultural production.
